Chijioke Jonathan Edeoga is a prominent Nigerian politician with a long and varied career, primarily within Enugu State.
He has held several key positions, including Chairman of Isi-Uzo Local Government Area, member of the House of Representatives for Enugu East/Isi-Uzo (1999-2003), Commissioner for Local Government Matters (2015-2019), and Commissioner for Environment (2019-2022).
Edeoga also served as Press Secretary to a former executive governor of Enugu State and Special Assistant to former President Goodluck Jonathan on National Assembly Matters.
In the lead-up to the 2023 Enugu State gubernatorial election, he emerged as the Labour Party candidate, gaining significant traction.
Although his nomination faced legal challenges, it was ultimately upheld. He recently returned to the Peoples Democratic Party, praising the leadership style of the incumbent governor.
