Umaru Tanko Al-Makura is a veteran Nigerian politician who served as the Governor of Nasarawa State from 2011 to 2019, and subsequently as a Senator representing Nasarawa South Senatorial District since 2019.
A member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Al-Makura’s political journey includes a period as the State Secretary of the National Republican Convention (NRC) in the Third Republic.
