OK Movement names Muhammad Hamisu National Secretary as the political platform continues building its leadership ahead of the 2027 elections
The OK Movement has appointed Dr Muhammad Hamisu as its National Secretary, marking another significant step in the political platform’s efforts to strengthen its leadership structure ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The movement announced the appointment in a statement shared on its verified X account on Wednesday, describing Dr Hamisu as a respected cybersecurity expert and a prominent member of the Kwankwasiyya Movement.
According to the organisation, Dr Hamisu’s experience in grassroots mobilisation, inclusive governance and public service will strengthen its leadership as preparations for the next election cycle gather momentum.
“The OK Movement is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Muhammad Hamisu as its National Secretary,” the statement said.
“A distinguished cybersecurity expert and prominent member of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, his dedication to grassroots development, inclusive governance, and national service makes him a valuable addition to the leadership of the OK Movement. Nigeria Will Be OK.”
The appointment is the latest in a series of leadership announcements by the movement in recent days as it expands its national structure.
Earlier, the OK Movement named former Inter-Party Advisory Council Chairman Peter Ameh as its National Director-General. It also appointed Director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thought, Professor Sam Amadi, to head its Advisory Council.
The OK Movement emerged as a political platform bringing together supporters of former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi and former Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, who are now the presidential and vice-presidential candidates of the Nigeria Democratic Congress for the 2027 elections.
Political observers say the movement’s recent appointments reflect an effort to build a broad-based leadership team capable of coordinating nationwide mobilisation as parties intensify preparations for the next general elections.
