In a petition dated June 20, 2026, the aggrieved party members accused Soluade of mismanaging party funds, intimidating members, and allegedly engaging in financial irregularities, including directing aspirants to make payments into a personal bank account.
The petitioners, including Hudu Idris, Ismaila Adejumon, Temitope Adebayo and Rashidat Yekin, said their complaint was driven by the need to uphold accountability, transparency and internal discipline within the party.
According to the document, the allegations also include claims of assault on the deputy chairman, removal of authorised bank signatories without due approval, and misappropriation of party funds.
“We believe that the issues raised herein have become matters of grave concern capable of affecting the unity, credibility, and electoral prospects of the party if not urgently addressed,” the petition stated.
The petition further alleged that more than ten aspirants were directed to pay into a personal account rather than the official party account, a claim the petitioners said required urgent forensic investigation.
They urged the national leadership of the ADC to constitute an independent panel to investigate the allegations and conduct a full audit of the Ogun State party account domiciled with Sterling Bank.
The petition also called for the review of account mandates, signatory changes, and financial records to determine compliance with party procedures.
However, reacting to the allegations, Ogun State ADC chairman Femi Soluade dismissed the claims as false and misleading.
He denied allegations of assault and financial impropriety, insisting that party funds were properly managed and records were available for scrutiny if required.
“What they are referring to was just a misunderstanding at that time and it was resolved. I have been funding the party by myself and I’m using the goodwill that I have to fund the party as well,” Soluade said.
He added that he would be willing to present financial records to the party’s national leadership if necessary, expressing confidence that he would be vindicated.
The dispute highlights growing internal tensions within the Ogun State chapter of the ADC, as the party continues to navigate internal restructuring and leadership disagreements.

The National Working Committee is expected to review the petition and determine whether to launch a formal investigation into the allegations.
