Dickson Issues NDC Supporters to Order Call in Abuja

Seriake Dickson makes NDC supporters to order call in Abuja, urging party unity and discipline amid rising internal criticism

Seriake Dickson, National Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), on Thursday, June 12, 2026, in Abuja, issued an NDC supporters to order call during a stakeholders’ meeting, urging party chieftains to rein in their supporters amid rising internal criticism and concerns over the party’s public image.

The meeting, held in the Federal Capital Territory, brought together key stakeholders of the NDC as discussions intensified over recent criticisms directed at the party and its leadership structure.

Seriake Dickson stated that the party would not tolerate actions capable of damaging the image of its members, stressing the need for unity, discipline, and internal control across all levels of the organisation.

In a firm and strongly worded address, he questioned the inability of some leaders to manage their supporters, warning that such conduct could undermine the stability of the party at a critical political period.

The NDC supporters to order call came as he reminded party chieftains that collective responsibility was essential in building a credible political platform capable of winning national elections.

Seriake Dickson emphasised that the party had made significant sacrifices to accommodate new entrants, insisting that such efforts must not be rewarded with internal division or reputational damage.

He said the party had agreed to work together with its flag bearers and supporters to build a united front ahead of the general elections, adding that discipline remained non negotiable.

“We are not going to allow anyone to destroy anybody’s image when you have just come into the party and we have done everything for you,” Seriake Dickson said during the meeting.

The statement has sparked renewed discussion within party circles about internal cohesion and the need for stronger communication between leadership and grassroots supporters.

Political observers note that the remarks reflect growing sensitivity within the NDC as it positions itself for upcoming electoral contests, with emphasis now shifting to unity and message control.
