Ufomba joins Labour Party from PDP was formally announced during a reception ceremony held in Okpuala Ngwa, where Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, welcomed the new entrant and his supporters into the ruling Labour Party structure in the state.
Governor Otti described the development as a significant boost to the Labour Party’s grassroots strength and to ongoing efforts aimed at accelerating development in Abia State.
He further stated that the Labour Party operates on principles of equity, inclusiveness and equal opportunity, assuring new members that they would be fully integrated without discrimination.
“The interesting thing about Labour Party is that there is no discrimination,” Otti said. “We don’t have old and new members.”
Ufomba PDP to Labour Party Defection was also marked by a pledge from Ufomba, who committed himself to supporting the party’s development agenda and contributing to governance efforts under Governor Otti’s leadership.
Ufomba expressed appreciation to the governor and the Abia State leadership of the Labour Party for what he described as a warm reception into the party’s fold.
