Fayose Makes Bold Claim on Tinubu’s Election Victory

Fayose claims President Tinubu would defeat Atiku and Peter Obi repeatedly in elections, sparking fresh political reactions nationwide

Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has claimed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would defeat leading opposition figures, including Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, even if a presidential election were conducted ten times.

Fayose made the remarks during an interview on EKTV, where he addressed growing calls on social media for President Tinubu to resign over the country’s worsening security challenges.

The former governor argued that despite public criticism and online agitation, President Tinubu remains politically dominant and would continue to outperform opposition candidates in any electoral contest.

According to Fayose, political discussions on social media do not reflect the realities of electoral strength on the ground, insisting that opposition candidates would still fall short even in repeated elections.

“A lot of people on social media are asking Tinubu to resign now, but I’m saying you don’t need to fight because he still has one year left,” he said.

He further suggested that the opposition remains divided between key figures such as Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, arguing that such fragmentation weakens their chances at the ballot.

“But I’m explaining that if the election is conducted 10 times, Tinubu will defeat all of them,” Fayose added.

The former governor also referenced Tinubu’s political rise, noting that the president secured victory despite not receiving the backing of former President Muhammadu Buhari, describing it as evidence of his political resilience.
