Hayatu-Deen made the declaration on Tuesday through a statement posted on his official X account.
The former banker said reports from across the country pointed to widespread vote manipulation during the party’s presidential primary election.
“I will not be attending the announcement of the ADC Presidential Election Results today,” Hayatu-Deen stated.
He explained that his decision followed information received from party members and incidents he personally witnessed during the electoral process.
“I am concerned by reports from across the country of widespread vote rigging, some of which I myself observed,” he said.
Hayatu-Deen added that he would consult with advisers before determining his next political move.
“I will, therefore, be taking advice on my next steps,” he added.
The ADC conducted its presidential primary election on Monday across 8,809 wards and 774 local government areas nationwide.
The contest featured three leading aspirants, including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi and Mohammed Hayatu-Deen.
The primary election proceeded after attempts by party stakeholders to produce a consensus candidate failed.
Hayatu-Deen, a former Managing Director of FSB International Bank, previously sought the presidential ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party in 2022 before withdrawing ahead of the primary election.
