The Kpautagi Niger governorship bid was marked by a large turnout of supporters, including youths, women, political associates and party faithful who accompanied him to the ADC secretariat in solidarity.

Addressing journalists after obtaining the forms, Kpautagi expressed appreciation to his supporters, assuring them that his administration would prioritise people-oriented governance if elected governor.

He said his focus would be on policies that directly address insecurity and water scarcity, which he described as major challenges affecting residents of Niger State.

“It is painful seeing our people being kidnapped and killed while women and children wake up daily in search of water,” he said, stressing the need for decisive leadership.

Kpautagi, who was accompanied by his wives and political associates, pledged to restore the state’s lost glory through prudent resource management and effective governance.

He noted that his ambition was driven by a desire to bring practical solutions to the socio-economic challenges facing the state.

The aspirant previously contested the 2023 governorship primary election under the All Progressives Congress (APC), alongside incumbent Governor Mohammed Umar Bago.
