Atiku Abubakar says ADC can become a strong opposition party, urging unity and commitment to challenge Nigeria’s ruling party
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, expressed confidence that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) can develop into a strong opposition platform capable of challenging the ruling party in future elections.

Atiku Abubakar made the remarks in a post shared on his official X account after attending a high-level meeting with other party leaders to discuss the next phase of the party’s political direction.
He said the gathering focused on strengthening internal structures and preparing the ADC for upcoming political tasks and national engagement.
According to Atiku Abubakar, the meeting reflected unity among key stakeholders within the party, with discussions centred on building a credible alternative for Nigerians.
The former Vice President stated that the ADC is committed to developing a strong political platform that can effectively challenge the current leadership at the national level.
He added that the party’s mission goes beyond seeking power, stressing that it also aims to restore hope, rebuild public trust, and reposition Nigeria on a path of growth and stability.
