David Mark assures ADC members the party will overcome ongoing court disputes and remain active in the 2027 general elections
National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress, David Mark, has assured party members that the ADC will participate fully in the 2027 general elections despite ongoing legal disputes affecting its leadership structure.

Speaking on Wednesday night after receiving a briefing from the party’s legal team in Abuja, David Mark dismissed concerns over recent court rulings, insisting that the party remains confident of overcoming all pending litigations.
He said members had no reason for fear, adding that the party was fully prepared to pursue all available legal options within the framework of the law.
“You do not have anything to be afraid of regarding all the litigations before the party,” he stated, reaffirming that the ADC would be on the ballot for all elections.
David Mark further pledged to personally oversee the legal process, describing the situation as one the party is ready to manage with determination and unity.
The ADC’s legal team has already filed an appeal and sought a stay of execution on the recent Federal High Court judgment in Abuja, signalling an escalation of the party’s legal strategy.
Party officials say the development comes at a crucial time as preparations intensify ahead of the 2027 elections, which are seen as key to strengthening the party’s political relevance.
According to party sources, the legal briefing outlined the implications of the court ruling and mapped out steps for ongoing and future litigation.
