APC supporters stage Tinubu rally Ondo in Akure led by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, boosting grassroots mobilisation ahead of 2027 elections
All Progressives Congress, APC, supporters in Ondo State on Wednesday staged a solidarity walk in Akure to rally support for President Bola Tinubu, as Governor Dr Lucky Aiyedatiwa led the procession in a coordinated Tinubu rally Ondo mobilisation effort ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The event, tagged “TinubuDatiwa Half a Million Walk 2027,” was organised by Kehinde Akinrotoye, former Senior Special Assistant to the governor on Sports and Coordinator of the TinubuDatiwa Support Group.
It was held at the Ondo State Sports Complex and attracted a large turnout of party members and stakeholders across different sectors.
Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa commended participants for their enthusiasm, describing the turnout as impressive and encouraging.
He said the initiative reflects sustained efforts by support groups to strengthen grassroots mobilisation in support of President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid.
He noted that the walk forms part of a broader series of political activities being coordinated across the state in preparation for the 2027 general elections.
According to him, such engagements are designed to build momentum and consolidate support at the community level.
Aiyedatiwa, who described himself as a foremost patron of support groups in the state, said his participation was a demonstration of commitment and solidarity with organisers.
He expressed satisfaction with the diverse turnout, which included government officials, civil servants, artisans and members of civil society.
He further expressed confidence that continued mobilisation would yield significant electoral outcomes for the President.
The governor stressed that political engagement must be driven from the grassroots, noting that the real work lies within local government areas, wards and polling units.
In a powerfully worded remark, Aiyedatiwa urged coordinators to intensify their efforts across their respective localities, adding that early participation in the walk also reflected growing awareness of the importance of healthy living alongside civic engagement.
The Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Mr Henry Omoyofunmi, said the programme demonstrated strong public backing for the ruling party’s Renewed Hope agenda.
He described the turnout as evidence of deliberate and structured mobilisation efforts within the state.
Kehinde Akinrotoye explained that the walk was intended to galvanise support across Ondo State’s senatorial districts and all 18 local government areas.
He said the initiative reflects confidence in President Bola Tinubu’s leadership and the broader vision of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
