Nyesom Wike made the remarks while speaking with journalists after inspecting ongoing infrastructure projects within the Federal Capital Territory, where he addressed growing public concerns about alleged divisions within the party.

The former Rivers State governor stated that political disagreements are a normal feature of party politics and do not automatically translate into the existence of separate factions within the PDP. He maintained that such differences are being managed through internal reconciliation efforts.

According to Wike, PDP unity remains intact, and discussions aimed at resolving grievances among members are ongoing as part of preparations for the party’s forthcoming national convention scheduled for March 29 and 30.

He further stressed that the reconciliation process will continue beyond the convention, describing dialogue as a key tool in strengthening internal cohesion ahead of future electoral contests.

In a firm remark, Nyesom Wike PDP factions claim response emphasised that there is only one PDP, adding that it would be incorrect to suggest otherwise, a statement that underscored his position on party unity.

The FCT Minister also disclosed that the party’s primaries are expected to take place between April 23 and May 13 in line with electoral guidelines issued by the Independent National Electoral Commission, warning that the timeline leaves little room for delays.
