Tinubu Group NDI-ABAT Hails APGA Over 2027 Strategy Move

NDI-ABAT APGA Tinubu mobilisation grows as group hails APGA’s 2027 decision and pledges major voter drive for President Tinubu

The Ndigbo for Tinubu 2027 Forum (NDI-ABAT), on Monday, 2026, in a statement released in Abuja, commended the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) for its decision not to field a presidential candidate in the 2027 general elections, describing the development as a strategic and “forward-looking” political move.

The group, led by National Coordinator Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro and Secretary-General Dr Ugwuoke Ugwuoke, said the decision reflects political pragmatism in the Southeast and signals what it termed a new phase of alignment with national political structures.

The NDI-ABAT APGA Tinubu mobilisation message formed the core of the statement, as the forum pledged its full support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 elections.

According to the group, APGA’s stance opens what it described as a “critical window” for deeper political engagement and unity of purpose among stakeholders in the region and at the national level.

It further declared plans to mobilise at least 13 million votes for President Tinubu from the Southeast and diaspora communities, stressing that the effort would be driven by grassroots coordination, stakeholder engagement, and overseas participation.

The forum argued that closer political alignment with the centre would deliver tangible development benefits to the Southeast, including improved infrastructure, expanded economic opportunities, and stronger federal inclusion.

In a powerful appeal, the group urged political leaders, traditional institutions, and youth organisations to adopt a more pragmatic approach to Nigeria’s evolving political landscape ahead of 2027.

It also emphasised the strategic role of the Igbo diaspora, describing them as a vital pillar in its mobilisation effort, particularly in advocacy and investment support.

The statement added that sustained regional unity and engagement would not only strengthen electoral outcomes but also enhance the Southeast’s influence in national development discussions.
