Akwa Ibom Tinubu Akpabio Eno endorsement grows as Oron stakeholders back second-term bids and praise governance performance across levels

Stakeholders across sociopolitical blocs in Akwa Ibom State, on Sunday, 2026, in Uyo, have declared support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and Governor Umo Eno’s second-term ambitions, following a high-level engagement on regional development priorities.

The endorsement was led by representatives of the Oron Federal Constituency, comprising Oron, Mbo, Okobo, Udung Uko, and Urueoffong/Oruko local government areas, where traditional rulers, community leaders, and academics gathered to express what they described as confidence in ongoing governance efforts.

The Akwa Ibom Tinubu Akpabio Eno endorsement was anchored on perceived progress in policy implementation, with stakeholders commending the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda and the state government’s ARISE Agenda for what they termed tangible developmental outcomes.

They also praised the performance of their representative in the House of Representatives, Martin Esin, describing his legislative work as aligned with both federal and state development frameworks in a manner that has strengthened constituency representation.

In a notable political appeal, the stakeholders urged Governor Umo Eno to retain Deputy Governor Akon Eyakenyi, citing continuity and stability as key factors for sustained governance delivery in the state.

Speaking at the engagement on the proposed University of Maritime Studies in Oron, former Sole Administrator of the Niger Delta Development Commission, Effiong Akwa, commended President Tinubu for what he described as bold and transformative economic reforms.

He said the reforms were beginning to restore investor confidence and position Nigeria for long-term fiscal stability, describing them as a powerful shift in national economic direction.
