Orji Uzor Kalu pledges APC will win all Abia elections and deliver President Tinubu by 2027, urging unity and vigilance against sabotage
Abia North Senator, Orji Uzor Kalu, has declared that the All Progressives Congress, APC, will secure President Bola Tinubu’s re-election and capture every available elective position in Abia State in the 2027 general elections.

Kalu made the statement on Friday while addressing APC members and support groups in his hometown of Igbere.
The senator, who expressed strong backing for the recently concluded APC State Congress in Abia, stressed that party unity will be the foundation for victory.
He urged party members to actively work towards ensuring the success of the APC in all forthcoming elections.
Kalu warned against acts of sabotage experienced during the 2023 elections, stressing that rigging or manipulation would not be tolerated.
He specifically criticised the November 2, 2024, Abia State local government election, alleging that the victory of the Zenith Labour Party, ZLP, lacked credibility.
“When the local government election was conducted in Abia State, one man entered his bedroom and wrote the election, saying it was won by the Zenith party. That will not happen in 2027,” he said.
The senator also advised Governor Alex Otti to operate from Government House, Umuahia, rather than his private residence in Isiala Ngwa, arguing that Otti’s absence from the state capital is negatively affecting its economy.
Defending his record as a former governor, Kalu dismissed claims that his administration achieved little in office, calling them “wicked propaganda” orchestrated by the current administration.
