Imo Governor Hope Uzodimma Welcomes PDP Members to APC

Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma welcomes PDP members into APC, praising their commitment to the state’s development and progressive vision

Hope Uzodimma has welcomed a group of Peoples Democratic Party members, led by Evang. Mike Ikokwu, into the All Progressives Congress in Imo State.

Announcing the defection on his official X handle, Uzodimma described the move as a reflection of the state’s renewed development trajectory.

“The new trajectory for Imo State development is yielding remarkable results, and no progressive minded person desires to be left behind,” he said.

The governor said the decision by the defecting group “highlights a collective commitment to the greater good of our State” and reinforced his administration’s focus on sustainable progress.

Uzodimma added that the state would continue to align with national politics, drawing inspiration from the leadership of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and emphasised the importance of unity in advancing Imo’s growth and prosperity.

He welcomed the new members into what he described as a “progressive family,” stressing the need for all stakeholders to work together in securing lasting development for the people of Imo State.
