Oyo PDP inaugurates new State Secretariat in Ibadan. Speaker Ogundoyin praises Governor Makinde for strengthening party structure and unity
The Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, has congratulated the PDP family in Oyo on the successful commissioning of the party’s new State Secretariat in Ibadan.

Speaking shortly after the opening, which was officiated by Acting National Chairman Dr. Kabiru Taminu Turaki (SAN), Ogundoyin described the Secretariat as a landmark achievement that will strengthen the party’s structure, unity, and administrative effectiveness.
The new facility was donated to the PDP by Governor Engr. Seyi Makinde, a gesture that Ogundoyin said reflects the Governor’s unwavering commitment to the growth, stability, and institutional development of the party in Oyo State and nationally.
“The Secretariat symbolises the PDP’s resilience and readiness to consolidate its gains and confront future political engagements with renewed confidence,” Ogundoyin stated.
He further explained that the Secretariat will serve as a central hub for coordination, grassroots mobilization, effective communication, and inclusive management of party affairs across the state.
Ogundoyin noted the presence of top national leaders of the PDP, members of the National Executive Committee, and former Kano State Governor Alhaji Ibrahim Shekarau at the commissioning, emphasizing that their attendance reaffirmed the strategic importance of Oyo State within the PDP’s national structure.
He commended Governor Makinde for his visionary leadership and consistent role in championing the PDP, describing him as a dependable leader whose inclusive approach and commitment to good governance continue to strengthen the party.
Acknowledging national challenges facing the PDP, the Speaker expressed optimism that the Oyo State chapter would remain steadfast in supporting efforts to reposition the party through cohesion, discipline, and people-oriented governance.
