ZLP Imo Assembly Candidates list submitted to INEC after consensus primaries in Imo State, with officials praising the exercise as free and fair
The Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) in Imo State has formally submitted its list of candidates for the State House of Assembly election to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) following the conclusion of its primaries.

The submission was made at the party’s secretariat in Owerri, where the state chairman, Ichie Levi Ekeh, explained that the candidates emerged through a consensus arrangement in line with INEC’s revised electoral guidelines.
He said the process reflected the party’s commitment to internal democracy and adherence to established electoral procedures.
Officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, including Mrs Nneka Eluogu, who monitored the exercise, described the primaries as free, fair and credible.
She commended the Zenith Labour Party for complying with the commission’s regulations and praised party members for their peaceful conduct throughout the process.
According to her, the orderly nature of the exercise demonstrated growing maturity in party-based elections within the state.

The Zenith Labour Party has also commenced preparations for its Senate and House of Representatives primaries as part of its broader electoral timetable.
