The president made the appeal on Friday after performing the two-rakat Eid prayer at Dodan Barracks Eid Ground, marking the end of Ramadan.

“The stability of our peace and security is not just one man’s responsibility; we all are involved,” Tinubu said, urging collective action to safeguard communities and national interests.

He also encouraged citizens to share credible information with security agencies regarding suspicious activities while respecting the rule of law nationwide.

Highlighting the enduring values of Ramadan, Tinubu called on Nigerians to continue showing kindness, good conduct, and support for vulnerable communities beyond the fasting period.

“We must continue to be our brother’s keeper, showing good behaviour, love to humanity, and kindness to all,” he added.

Reflecting on his recent United Kingdom visit, Tinubu noted that interfaith engagements, including Iftar gatherings, demonstrated unity, mutual respect, and religious tolerance across cultural divides.

“We must continue to promote tolerance among all faiths and reflect these values in our society,” the president said, urging harmony and peaceful coexistence across Nigeria.

Earlier, Sheikh Sulaimon Abou-Nolla, Grand Chief Imam of Lagos State, urged Muslims to uphold piety, moral responsibility, and peaceful coexistence, stressing that Ramadan teaches discipline and good character.
