ADC Chieftain Alleges Tinubu Certificate Forgery Claims Ahead of 2027

Tinubu certificate forgery claims emerge as ADC chieftain Kalu Kalu questions the President’s academic records ahead of the 2027 election

Kalu Kalu, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and lawyer, has alleged that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s academic records contain inconsistencies, claiming that questions surrounding his certificates remain unresolved ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

Kalu made the allegations on Monday during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today, following the release of presidential candidates’ credentials and personal details by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The ADC chieftain questioned the educational information submitted by Tinubu to INEC, particularly the absence of primary and secondary school details in the section containing his educational qualifications.

“Everything about President Bola Tinubu’s certificate is shrouded in forgery,” Kalu alleged during the interview.

He referred to previous legal and public debates surrounding Tinubu’s academic history, including records connected to Chicago State University and claims made by political opponents regarding documents submitted during past elections.

Kalu alleged that information released from the university records raised questions about Tinubu’s claimed educational background.

He also referenced earlier affidavits and election documents in which Tinubu provided details about his schooling.

The claims come as political parties intensify preparations for the 2027 general elections, with candidates’ backgrounds and public records receiving increased scrutiny.

However, the allegations made by Kalu remain claims from an opposition figure and have not been established as facts by any court or official investigation.

Tinubu has previously faced public debates and legal challenges concerning his educational records, citizenship and eligibility, with courts in Nigeria ruling on several related matters during the 2023 presidential election disputes.
