Taraba APC congresses boost the party’s 2027 prospects as ALGON chairman Moses praises the peaceful conduct of ward, local and state meetings
Moses Maihankali, Chairman of the Taraba State chapter of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, has said the successful completion of the All Progressives Congress internal congresses across Taraba State has significantly strengthened the party’s prospects ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Moses Maihankali spoke on Wednesday during an interactive session with journalists in Jalingo, where the ALGON chairman described the Taraba APC congresses as orderly and decisive in consolidating the party’s grassroots structures.
According to the ALGON chairman, the party successfully conducted ward, local government and state congresses without major disruptions, a development that he said positions the APC to begin early and strategic preparations for the next electoral cycle.
Moses Maihankali expressed confidence that the party would record victories across various levels in 2027, citing what he described as sustained public support for the administration of Agbu Kefas.
The ALGON chairman said residents of Taraba State remain committed to the governor’s development agenda, adding that the APC leadership intends to build on the existing support base while strengthening party unity across the state.
Moses Maihankali also urged party members to remain focused and cohesive, stressing that unity within the APC would be a powerful factor in achieving its electoral ambitions.
The ALGON chairman commended Governor Agbu Kefas and other party stakeholders for ensuring a peaceful and well organised process that produced new party officials during the congresses.

Moses Maihankali said the newly elected officials now carry the responsibility of guiding the party’s affairs and sustaining the momentum created by the Taraba APC congresses as preparations gradually shift towards the 2027 elections.
