Senator Karimi urges Nigerians to embrace peace, unity, and prayers for leaders in his Christmas message, highlighting national development and cohesion
Senator Sunday Karimi, representing Kogi West Senatorial District in the National Assembly, has called on Nigerians to embrace peaceful coexistence as they celebrate Christmas, the birth of Jesus Christ.

In a goodwill message issued to journalists on Thursday, Sen. Karimi congratulated Nigerians, particularly residents of Kogi West, urging citizens to use the festive period to pray for leaders at all levels and for the nation’s peace, progress, and socio-economic development.
Sen. Karimi emphasised that the Christmas season offers lessons in love, forgiveness, and harmony, and urged Nigerians to transcend ethnic and religious differences.
“Irrespective of our religious affiliations, we can draw immense strength and inspiration from the enduring legacies of the life of Jesus Christ who sacrificed his life for the redemption of our souls,” he said.
The Senator further called for continued support for the administration of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu and government authorities at all levels, noting that collective effort and prayers for leadership are key to overcoming national challenges.
He assured Nigerians that the celebrations of Jesus Christ’s birth symbolise hope for the end of insecurity affecting Kogi West and the country at large.
Sen. Karimi also pledged to leverage legislative instruments to drive development in Kogi West and across Nigeria.
