Sanusi says the APC e-registration plan will strengthen party structures as Ogun officials begin training for the digital membership drive.
Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Ogun State, Yemi Sanusi, declared the APC e-registration plan the bedrock of the party’s future electoral fortunes during the launch of training for supervisors in Abeokuta on Saturday.

Yemi Sanusi, who issued a statement personally signed and released to PUNCH Online, said the programme marks the start of a comprehensive effort to build a verifiable digital database of party members across all local government areas in Ogun State.
Sanusi explained that the push for a modern register aligns with the party’s broader ambition to reposition the APC as a digitally driven and people-centred political organisation.
He noted that the digitalisation initiative aims to enhance internal coordination and sharpen the party’s operational efficiency.
According to him, the forthcoming registration exercise is designed to empower the party to understand its numerical strength long before elections.
He described the move as a strategic step to “count its votes before the election” by documenting every member on a secure online platform.
Sanusi urged senatorial administrators, local government supervisors and other party stakeholders to approach the assignment with diligence, warning that their work would be monitored closely.
He emphasised that the performance of officials falls under the direct oversight of the President, Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun and himself.
He assured participants that outstanding performance would be rewarded, underscoring the party’s commitment to excellence during this critical transition.
The training was facilitated by Olusegun Bankole, Administrator for Ogun Central Senatorial District, who guided participants through the technical and operational requirements of the online system.
Organising Secretary Yemi Adelani also addressed the gathering, urging supervisors to work closely with ward agents to ensure full mobilisation and timely registration of members.
Adelani added that each local government area would be given clear targets.
In his closing remarks, the party’s Secretary, Aderibigbe Tella, cautioned all officials to adhere strictly to the established guidelines to guarantee uniformity and accuracy throughout the process.
The party encouraged members and the public to await further announcements and participate fully once the exercise begins.
