PDP establishes Caretaker Committee in Cross River State to manage party affairs for up to three months or until a new executive is elected
The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced the establishment of a Caretaker Committee to oversee the party’s affairs in Cross River State.

The announcement, made in a statement by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Ini Ememobong, on Wednesday, said the Committee is mandated under Section 21(2)(a-b) of the PDP Constitution to manage party operations for a period not exceeding three months, or until a new executive is duly elected.
Bassey Eko Ewa has been appointed Chairman, with Bassey Joseph Adim as Secretary and Emmanuel Ekpe as Administrative Secretary.
Other members of the Committee include Joe Ekpe Edet, Udie Mike, Lynne Bassey, Etim Okon, Ankot Cohbom, Ofsna Raphael Odo, Onun Inyang Unoh, Ebaye Akunjom, Godswill Obindim, Edem Ekong, Raymond Abo, Moses Bisuakefe, Agabi Dominic Oko, Walter Nandi Esom, Ekpo Asuquo, and Victor Takon.

The Committee is expected to manage party activities, maintain organisational cohesion, and prepare the groundwork for the election of a new state executive.
