Olori Solape Death: Governor Adeleke Mourns Osun Monarch’s Wife

Olori Solape Abolarin, wife of the Orangun of Oke Ila, Oba Adedokun Abolarin, has died. Governor Ademola Adeleke expresses profound sorrow, mourning the loss of a virtuous woman

Olori Solape death has been announced, plunging the Oke Ila community into mourning. Olori Solape Abolarin, the beloved wife of the Orangun of Oke Ila, Oba Adedokun Abolarin, passed away on Tuesday afternoon.

Details surrounding the circumstances of her death were not immediately released.

Governor Ademola Adeleke, in a statement conveyed by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, expressed profound sorrow upon hearing of Olori Solape’s demise.

The Governor described her as “a virtuous woman and a pillar of support to her husband in the challenging task of administering the affairs of his subjects.”

Governor Adeleke extended his heartfelt condolences to Oba Abolarin, the children, family, colleagues, and the entire people of Oke-Ila.

He urged them to find comfort in “the memory of the wonderful moments shared with the Olori Solape.”

The statement further read, “The Governor conveys his heartfelt condolences to Oba Abolarin and the people of Oke-Ila and the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, where she worked before her sudden death, urging everyone touched by her loss to take solace in the fact that she lived a life full of impact.”

I extend my heartfelt condolences to the Orangun of Oke-Ila, Oba Adedokun Omoniyi Abolarin, on the passage of his beloved wife, Olori Solape Christianah Abolarin.

On that note also, I sympathise with the family and the people of Oke-Ila for the loss of a mother to many and a beacon of humility, parts of the statement read.

Governor Adeleke also condoled with the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in the state, where Olori Solape had served before her passing.

He acknowledged the deep pain her demise may have caused, but urged those affected to honour the progress in our communities that she stood for while alive and uphold the values of contributions that defined her life journey.

Concluding the statement, Governor Adeleke offered prayers for the repose of Olori Solape Christianah Abolarin’s soul, reiterating his call for Kabiyesi Abolarin, the children, family, colleagues, and the people of Oke-Ila to be comforted by the positive impact she made throughout her life.
