NDC communications appointments approved as Agada Abuh Theophilus and Brian Dennis take new media roles to boost party engagement and strategy
The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, announced the approval of new NDC communications appointments, naming Agada Abuh Theophilus as Director of New Media and Strategic Communications and Brian Dennis as Deputy Director of New Media and Strategic Communications, in a move aimed at strengthening the party’s digital outreach and public engagement strategy.

The appointments were confirmed in an official statement issued by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Osa Director, who said the decision reflects the party’s commitment to enhancing its communication structure and expanding its engagement with Nigerians across multiple platforms.
According to the statement, the leadership changes are intended to inject fresh energy into the party’s messaging approach, with a focus on improving responsiveness, visibility and strategic coordination across traditional and digital media spaces.
NDC described the appointments as a powerful step towards reinforcing its communication capacity, expressing confidence that both appointees will bring expertise and innovation to their roles.
Agada Abuh Theophilus is a strategic communications professional with experience spanning political campaigns, corporate brand management, institutional public relations and new media engagement. He is an Associate of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, holds a Master’s degree in Development Communications and is currently pursuing a PhD focused on election administration and management.
Brian Dennis, who assumes the role of Deputy Director, is a communications analyst with seven years of experience in strategic and political communications. He holds a Master’s degree in Peace and Conflict Resolution and has worked across various communication and policy-focused environments.
The party stated that the NDC communications appointments are expected to enhance its ability to connect with citizens, manage public messaging more effectively and strengthen its presence in an increasingly digital political landscape.
