Lagos APC mourns the death of Oluwafemi Adefulire, son of former deputy governor Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, who died after surgery in Dubai
The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has been thrown into mourning following the death of Oluwafemi Adefulire, the only son of former Lagos State Deputy Governor, Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire. The news was confirmed on Thursday by Vanguard.

Oluwafemi Adefulire, a medical doctor based in the United Kingdom, reportedly died early Wednesday after undergoing surgery in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. He is survived by his wife and children.
APC Publicity Secretary, Mr Seye Oladejo, described the loss as devastating for the party and Princess Orelope-Adefulire. “Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire is an exceptionally good person.
The entire party structure has been thrown into mourning over this humongous tragedy. May his precious soul rest in peace,” Oladejo said in a condolence statement.
Princess Orelope-Adefulire served as Lagos State Deputy Governor between 2011 and 2015 under former Governor Babatunde Fashola. She currently serves as Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Sustainable Development Goals, a role she previously held under former President Muhammadu Buhari.
A respected grassroots mobiliser, she also leads the APC as Political Apex Leader for Alimosho Federal Constituency and sits on the Lagos State Governor’s Advisory Council.

The tragedy has unsettled political circles in Lagos and beyond, with party members and associates expressing shock and sympathy. As of Friday, the family had yet to release further details regarding burial arrangements.
