Lagos APC celebrates e-Registration, strengthening internal democracy, grassroots participation, and a verified membership database
The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has commended the successful conduct of its nationwide e-Registration, describing it as a landmark achievement for internal democracy, party cohesion, and grassroots engagement.

In a statement released by Seye Oladejo, APC spokesman, the party highlighted the overwhelming turnout and seamless adoption of the digital registration platform as evidence of growing confidence among Lagosians and Nigerians in the party’s ideals.
The exercise, according to the statement, expanded the APC’s membership base while providing a transparent, verifiable database that accurately reflects the party’s strength across wards, local governments, and constituencies.
The initiative also ensured internal democracy by allowing both old and new members to formally register, thereby qualifying to vote and stand for office within the party.
“The party’s insistence on a valid voters’ card and National Identification Number as prerequisites for registration safeguarded the credibility of the membership register by eliminating ghost registrations,” the statement added.
APC officials noted that over 10 million members nationwide participated in the exercise, a figure that demonstrates the party’s organisational strength, deep-rooted structures, and ability to mobilise at the grassroots.
The digital platform, the party said, provides a significant advantage as Nigeria approaches the next general elections, giving APC a strategic edge over opposition parties.
The Lagos chapter praised party leaders, officials, volunteers, and members for their cooperation, discipline, and enthusiasm throughout the exercise.
