Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Wednesday, Jibrin revealed that former Kano State Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso remains open to discussions about rejoining the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and working with President Bola Tinubu.
“As far as that [joining APC] is concerned, he has always maintained that his doors are open, our doors are open for discussions. Everything is a possibility,” Jibrin said.
When asked if he would follow Kwankwaso should he eventually dump NNPP for APC, Jibrin responded that he is an adult capable of making independent political decisions.
Kwankwaso, a former senator and minister, left the APC to contest the 2023 presidential election under the NNPP, where he finished fourth.
