In a letter dated 25 March 2026, addressed to the governor through the Secretary to the State Government, Sansani expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve and commended the governor for the trust placed in him.

He highlighted his contributions toward improving water supply in small communities across the state.

Sansani also acknowledged the support of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) throughout his tenure.

While he did not disclose the specific office he intends to contest, political analysts view the resignation as a strategic step in positioning for upcoming elections.

Before his appointment as Special Assistant, Sansani held various roles within Jigawa State’s political circles.

He is also the National President of the Tinubu Northern Youth Forum, a group mobilising support for President Bola Tinubu across Nigeria’s nineteen northern states.

The Jigawa State Government has yet to issue an official statement regarding Sansani’s resignation.
