In a notice posted on its official X account on Friday, the electoral body urged interested media houses to complete their accreditation process promptly via its dedicated portal, warning that late submissions will not be entertained.

The upcoming elections are set to take place across several constituencies nationwide, including the Dawaki Kudu/Warawa Federal Constituency in Kano State and the Zuru State Constituency in Kebbi State.

Other affected areas include the Ondo South Senatorial District, Rivers South East Senatorial District, Nasarawa North Senatorial District and Enugu North Senatorial District.

The commission described the accreditation exercise as a critical requirement for ensuring transparent, organised and effective media coverage of the elections, which are expected to attract significant political attention across the country.

According to INEC, only media organisations that complete registration through its official portal within the stipulated timeframe will be granted access to cover the polls.
