Review for the Primary appeal comes amid rising concerns within party ranks over allegations of procedural shortcomings and dissatisfaction expressed by delegates across the affected local government areas.
Addressing journalists in Lafia, Attah urged the APC leadership at state and national levels to carefully examine grievances raised by stakeholders in order to protect the credibility of the party’s internal democratic process.
She emphasised that strengthening internal democracy remains critical to maintaining unity, trust and long term electoral success within the ruling party.
According to Attah, multiple complaints from party delegates and supporters across Awe, Doma and Keana local government areas suggest the need for a thorough reassessment of the primary election to ensure fairness and transparency.
She maintained that her intervention was not driven by personal ambition but by a desire to safeguard the integrity of the APC and ensure that all stakeholders feel adequately represented within the party structure.
“The credibility of any democratic process depends on fairness, transparency and adherence to due process. It is important that concerns raised by party members are given the attention they deserve,” she said.
Attah also urged the party’s primary election committee and APC leadership at all levels to evaluate the concerns raised and take appropriate steps to promote justice and internal cohesion.
She stressed that sustaining trust among party members requires openness, accountability and strict adherence to the principles guiding the APC’s internal processes.
While calling for a review, the aspirant appealed for calm among her supporters and urged party faithful across the constituency to remain peaceful and law abiding.
She further encouraged aggrieved members to pursue redress through established party mechanisms rather than actions that could undermine unity or stability within the APC.
Attah expressed confidence that the party leadership would address the issues fairly, adding that a transparent resolution would strengthen the APC ahead of future elections.
