APC Urges Ekiti Members to Join Nationwide E-Registration

APC in Ekiti urges members to participate in national e-registration to strengthen party structures and prepare for 2027 elections

The All Progressives Congress in Ekiti State has called on its members to fully participate in the ongoing national electronic registration exercise, emphasising its importance for party cohesion and future electoral success.

The appeal was made by Adesola Adedayo, the Commissioner for Youth Development and Coordinator of the APC e-registration exercise in Ekiti State, during a meeting with senatorial coordinators and local government supervisors on Tuesday.

Adedayo explained that the programme, which began last year with the training of agents at the ward level, is crucial for documenting party members and confirming loyalty ahead of the 2027 elections.

“The exercise will take place daily from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in each of the 177 wards across Ekiti State for members aged 18 and above with valid voter cards and National Identification Numbers,” he said.

“This is very important as it will strengthen our party’s structures and ensure proper documentation of members at the grassroots.”

He urged ward-level supervisors to mobilise members actively and provide guidance to facilitate seamless participation, noting that a robust membership drive is vital for any political party.

Adedayo highlighted that the e-registration exercise will also help the party ascertain its true support base and membership profile, and that participation is critical to the re-election of Governor Biodun Oyebanji in June 2026.

Echoing this, APC State Chairman Sola Elesin, who personally registered in the ongoing exercise, called on all members to follow suit.

“Participation in the e-registration exercise is a clear demonstration of loyalty, commitment, and readiness to contribute meaningfully to the growth and electoral success of the party,” he said.

The Lagos State chapter of the APC further noted that the exercise is compulsory, aimed at eliminating duplication, impersonation, and unverifiable records, while providing a level playing field for all members.
