Akwa Ibom cabinet reshuffle approved by Governor Umo Eno aims to enhance governance and accelerate ARISE Agenda implementation
The Akwa Ibom cabinet reshuffle has been approved by Governor Pastor Umo Eno to strengthen governance and align ministries with the state’s ARISE Agenda.

According to a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Prince Enobong Uwah, the reshuffling of portfolios is part of ongoing efforts to improve service delivery and fast-track key policy implementation.
“In his determination to strengthen the State Executive Council and align with the ARISE Agenda, His Excellency Pastor Umo Eno has approved the reshuffle of portfolios,” the statement said.
Notably, Capt. Iniobong Ekong (retd.) has been reassigned as Commissioner for Trade and Investment, while Dr. Ubong Inyang takes over the Ministry of Lands and Town Planning, a position previously held by Ekong.

The reshuffle is effective immediately and reflects the administration’s commitment to delivering on its development blueprint.
