Akindele urges APC unity for Tinubu 2027 re-election bid

Jumoke Akindele urges APC aspirants in Ondo to prioritise President Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid and strengthen party unity

Jumoke Akindele, a former Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly and senatorial aspirant under the All Progressives Congress, has called on party members to prioritise the re-election of President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Akindele, who is contesting for the Ondo South Senatorial District ticket, made the appeal in a statement issued on Monday, stressing the need for unity among aspirants and party stakeholders.

She urged members of the APC in Ondo State to place collective goals above personal ambitions, describing President Tinubu’s re-election as the party’s most critical objective.

According to her, political contests within the party should strengthen internal cohesion rather than create divisions that could weaken its electoral strength.

Akindele noted that party stakeholders in the state have set a target of delivering at least one million votes for the President, warning that internal disagreements could undermine the goal.

She emphasised that while individual political aspirations are valid, they should not overshadow what she described as a broader and more strategic national priority.
