ADC Ready to Become Formidable National Platform, Says Ogbodo

ADC national platform Ogbodo statement highlights party readiness to rebuild trust and offer credible alternative leadership in Nigeria

An opposition leader in Enugu State, Ray Kene Ogbodo, on Friday, March 27, 2026, said the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has demonstrated readiness to emerge as a formidable national platform capable of addressing Nigeria’s governance challenges.

Speaking through his media aide, Mr Azubuike Akam, Ogbodo stated that the party’s recent activities, including its National Executive Committee meeting and the release of a timetable for nationwide congresses, reflect a deliberate effort to rebuild democratic structures and strengthen internal cohesion.

The ADC national platform Ogbodo assertion comes amid growing political repositioning ahead of future elections.

Ogbodo commended the leadership of the party under Senator David Mark, noting that the scheduled congresses, beginning from the ward level and culminating in a national convention set for April 14, 2026, demonstrate commitment to grassroots participation and institutional discipline.

He described the process as more than a routine political exercise, characterising it as a renewed effort to restore public confidence in governance.

According to him, the current economic and social challenges facing Nigerians highlight the need for leadership that is responsive, accountable and people-oriented.

Ogbodo further argued that widespread hardship, rising living costs and infrastructural concerns reflect deeper governance issues that require urgent political reform.

He maintained that the ADC is positioning itself as a credible alternative by promoting transparency, inclusiveness and internal democracy.

The former gubernatorial candidate emphasised that the party’s ongoing congresses and organisational structure signal its preparedness to mobilise citizens across the country.
