Abdullahi Sule Tinubu Late Night Meeting reveals governors held extended talks with President Tinubu on security and APC convention planning
Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule has disclosed details of a late night meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other governors in Lagos, where discussions centred on national security concerns and preparations for the All Progressives Congress convention.

The Abdullahi Sule Tinubu Late Night Meeting was held after a gathering of governors who reportedly travelled to Lagos for consultations with the President, with the discussions extending into the early hours of the morning.
Governor Abdullahi Sule made the disclosure on Monday during his investiture as Patron of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations in Abuja, noting that the tight schedules of state executives influenced changes to his engagement plans.
According to Abdullahi Sule, the meeting with Bola Ahmed Tinubu began after lunch and focused primarily on pressing security issues affecting parts of the country, alongside strategic preparations for the upcoming APC convention.
“Yesterday, most of the governors were in Lagos to meet with Mr President. After lunch, we had a lengthy meeting, especially on areas of security, which we presented before the President,” Abdullahi Sule said.
He added that the discussions continued well into the night, lasting until after 2 a.m., as leaders worked through key organisational and political matters ahead of the party’s convention.
The governor explained that the relocation of his investiture ceremony from Lafia, Nasarawa State, to Abuja was due to scheduling conflicts arising from the Lagos meeting, stressing that it did not reflect any change in priorities.
