The governor stated this while explaining his decision and that of others to join the All Progressives Congress (APC), stressing that Kano had “missed a lot” by not aligning with the centre.
“Anyone who means well for the people of Kano should align with the Federal Government, because we have missed a lot,” Yusuf said.
He made the remarks when members of the Ward and Local Government Congress Committee paid him a courtesy visit at the Government House.
According to a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mustapha Muhammad, the governor noted that Kano’s political actors are now more united than ever.
He added that since his defection to the APC, more political stakeholders and even previously divided families have continued to reunite.
Yusuf also commended the committee for what he described as a successful conduct of ward and local government congresses across the state.
