Lagos State Chairman of Accord Dele Oladeji made the position known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos.
Oladeji described Accord as a stable political platform capable of supporting Adeleke’s bid for a second term in the 2026 off-cycle governorship election.
He noted that the party had no internal factions or godfather influence, which he said made it an attractive option for contenders seeking a dependable structure.
“We are waiting for his declaration. That is what we can say for now. We are waiting for when he will declare for Accord,” Oladeji said, adding that the party stood ready to receive the governor whenever he chose to join.
He described Accord as a peaceful organisation with a sanitised internal system, stressing that any serious candidate entering the party ahead of 2027 would have a reliable base to pursue electoral success.
Oladeji added that if Adeleke formally aligns with Accord, members would work to strengthen his campaign and improve his chances at the polls.
