E’ekpede Initiative backs Tinubu, Akpabio, Eno’s re-election bid

E’ekpede Initiative declares support for Tinubu, Akpabio, and Eno ahead of 2027, pledging to drive unity and development across Akwa Ibom State.

E’ekpede Initiative has pledged its unwavering support for President Bola Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and Governor Umo Eno ahead of the 2027 general elections.

At a press conference held at the NUJ Secretariat in Uyo on Monday, the group’s Board of Trustees Chairman, Mr Adede Inima, described the initiative as “a child of necessity,” formed to promote stability, unity, and progress in Nigeria’s democratic journey.

Inima said the group’s mission was to “push the right narrative” and ensure the re-election of Tinubu, Akpabio, and Eno, noting that the move was motivated by “national interest rather than self-interest.”

He praised Tinubu’s bold reforms, saying they had begun yielding positive economic results. “Today, we are fortunate to have a President who understands that empowering the states is key to transforming the lives of the people,” Inima remarked, adding that the President’s policies had “put more cash in the hands of governors,” thereby enabling development projects without heavy borrowing.

According to him, President Tinubu’s leadership had “positively renewed the hopes of Nigerians” and “steered the nation onto a path of economic stability and growth.”

Turning to Akwa Ibom, Inima lauded Governor Umo Eno’s people-centred leadership, calling him “a man of empathy and focus” whose policies had “breathed new life into rural communities.”

He noted that being politically aligned with the Federal Government through the same progressive party was “a significant advantage for the state,” stressing that unity of purpose was essential for accelerated development.
