Kogi West FGYB Legacy Group Endorses Tinubu, Ododo

Kogi West FGYB Legacy Group endorses President Tinubu and Governor Ododo for re-election, pledging 90% support from the senatorial district.

The Kogi West FGYB Legacy Group, comprising key stakeholders from the seven Local Government Areas of the Kogi West Senatorial District, has formally endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for re-election.

The endorsement was contained in a communiqué issued at the end of a strategic meeting held in Kabba, Kogi State, on Saturday, October 11, 2025. The document was signed by Kingsley Olorunfemi Fanwo (Chairman), Tanko Mohammed (Secretary), and Shaibu Ipinmisho (Member) on behalf of the group.

The stakeholders unanimously passed a vote of confidence in President Tinubu, praising his bold economic reforms, pursuit of energy stability, and infrastructural transformation across the country.

They pledged to deliver over 90 per cent of votes from Kogi West in future elections in recognition of what they described as his “people-oriented leadership.”

The communiqué also applauded Governor Ododo for his “impactful leadership” in infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, youth empowerment, and humanitarian development.

The group particularly lauded his proactive security strategy and efforts to sustain peace across the senatorial district.

Stakeholders highlighted the governor’s numerous projects, including the ongoing works at Kogi State University, Kabba, the Model Secondary School, Okebukun, and township road reconstruction in Mopa and Ayetoro Gbede.

They also commended the take-off of the UK-funded College of Education (Technical) in Mopa.

The meeting appreciated Governor Ododo’s personal visits to communities affected by insecurity and called on traditional rulers, community leaders, and citizens to support government efforts in restoring lasting peace.

In their remarks, Commissioners representing Kabba-Bunu, Yagba East, and Yagba West — Hon. Wemi Jones, Hon. Asiwaju Idris, and Hon. Olusegun Joseph — praised both Tinubu and Ododo for their “unprecedented achievements” in governance and service delivery.

Also speaking, the APC State Chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Bello, described the APC as a party of progressives with visionary leadership.

He commended former Governor Yahaya Bello for laying a strong foundation for the Ododo administration and urged members to remain loyal, united, and focused.

Bello applauded President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and encouraged members to sustain their support for both leaders ahead of the 2027 elections.

The meeting was attended by commissioners, local government chairmen, members of the State Assembly, federal lawmakers, and prominent political figures, including former Senator Smart Adeyemi.
