Speaking during an interview on Politics Today on Channels Television, the former Deputy Governor of Ekiti State stated that Obi’s campaign tactics are now outdated.
“The rhetoric of the last election will not work again, except he comes with another gimmick,” she said. “Tinubu is a skilled politician who knows the terrain.”
Biodun Olujimi says Peter Obi must bring something new to the table if he wants to compete against an incumbent with deep political roots like President Bola Tinubu.
In a sharp critique of internal party dynamics, Olujimi also accused ex-governor Ayodele Fayose of crippling the PDP in Ekiti through autocratic and divisive leadership.
“Ayo Fayose killed the PDP in Ekiti. He sidelined founding members and imposed candidates, creating factions and ruining the party’s electoral chances,” she said.
She lamented the repeated failure of reconciliation efforts and blamed internal suppression and lack of transparency for mass defections and dwindling public trust in the PDP.
According to Biodun Olujimi, the party’s inability to enforce internal democracy has left it fractured, particularly in Ekiti State.
“We had a real opportunity to stay strong, but one man’s ambition tore everything apart,” she added.
