Yilwatda says APC will win Ekiti governorship election, citing Governor Oyebanji’s performance, projects, and strong public support
The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda, has expressed strong confidence that the party will win the forthcoming Ekiti State governorship election.

Yilwatda made the remarks in a post on X following the APC mega rally held in Ekiti State, which was attended by Vice President Kashim Shettima, members of the National Working Committee, governors, and other party leaders.
He said the large turnout at the rally reflected widespread support for Governor Abiodun Oyebanji and demonstrated the confidence of residents in his administration.
According to him, the performance of Governor Oyebanji has strengthened the APC’s chances ahead of the election, particularly through infrastructure development and human capital investments.
Yilwatda noted that the administration had carried out road construction and rehabilitation projects across the state, improved educational facilities, and implemented policies aimed at enhancing learning outcomes.
He added that the visible impact of governance across Ekiti communities had contributed to growing public approval for the government.
The APC chairman maintained that the party’s confidence was based on what he described as the governor’s track record and the strong backing of the electorate.
He said the achievements of the administration were evident across the state, arguing that residents had responded positively to ongoing development efforts.
