Cubana Chief Priest Explains Exit From Peter Obi Camp

Cubana Chief Priest dumps Peter Obi, saying he switched allegiance to avoid another loss and believes Obi is not ready for victory

Nigerian entrepreneur and socialite Pascal Chibuike Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has explained his decision to withdraw support for former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi and align with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Cubana Chief Priest ignores Peter Obi comments emerged during an interview with popular Nigerian streamer Peller, where the socialite addressed his political realignment and past involvement in the 2023 presidential election.

He stated that he had previously supported Peter Obi during the 2023 polls but chose to step away from the movement because he did not want to experience another electoral defeat.

According to him, he believes Peter Obi would not secure victory in the next general election, adding that the former Anambra State governor is not fully prepared for the task of leading the country.

The socialite also confirmed his current involvement with the City Boys Movement, an organisation reportedly launched by Seyi Tinubu for grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections.

Cubana Chief Priest snubs Peter Obi statement has generated renewed political debate online, with supporters of both camps reacting strongly to his remarks.

He maintained that his decision was based on political strategy and personal experience from the last election cycle, insisting he prefers to align with what he considers a more viable path to victory.
