Speaking to journalists in Kano on Monday, the former Kano Municipal Council chairman said many people in Northern Nigeria were surprised by what he described as Kwankwaso’s apparent political alignment with Obi’s camp.
He questioned the strategic direction of Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, suggesting that stronger unity among Northern political leaders should take priority over external alliances.
According to him, the region currently requires cooperation and coordination among its political actors to strengthen its influence at the national level.
Faizu Alfindiki stressed that Northern leaders must focus on unity and collective development rather than individual political interests.
He also commented on Peter Obi, stating that the Labour Party figure had not been vocal enough on key Northern issues such as insecurity, agriculture and economic development.
Alfindiki argued that leadership is judged not only by popularity but also by the alliances and priorities politicians pursue.
He warned that certain political alignments could create the impression that personal ambition is being placed above regional interest.
The APC chieftain further called on politicians across Nigeria to build alliances that promote national unity and reduce political division.
In his remarks, Faizu Alfindiki also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for ongoing infrastructure, road and agricultural development projects, describing them as evidence of commitment to national progress.
