Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and ex Kaduna governor Nasir El Rufai filed registration papers with INEC on Thursday.
The move ends speculation over whether the opposition coalition would revive an old platform or create something new.
ADA adopts Justice for All as its slogan and chooses a maize emblem to symbolise abundance and resilience.
Rotimi Amaechi, Umar Ardo and other regional figures have already pledged strategic backing for the fresh party.
Chief Akin Rickets and Abdullahi Elayo signed the application as Protem National Chairman and Secretary, respectively.
“We have submitted every required document and we are ready for the scrutiny that follows, because Nigerians deserve a credible choice,” Rickets told reporters.
INEC acknowledged receipt on Friday and reminded the applicants that only full compliance with the Electoral Act ensures certification.
Party insiders say the coalition aims to consolidate scattered opposition forces into a single structure capable of challenging President Bola Tinubu in 2027.
Observers note that voter frustration over economic hardship and insecurity may give the alliance a receptive audience.
Ardo argued that a fresh brand is essential to convince undecided citizens who distrust existing parties.

INEC now has ninety days to verify membership spread, offices in two thirds of states and financial records before granting final approval.
