Kwara Governor’s Spokesperson Rafiu Ajakaye Declares Bold House of Reps Bid

Rafiu Ajakaye declares House of Reps bid in Kwara APC race for Ifelodun/Offa/Oyun ahead of 2027 elections

Rafiu Ajakaye, spokesperson to Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has formally declared his intention to contest for the House of Representatives seat representing Ifelodun/Offa/Oyun Federal Constituency.

Rafiu Ajakaye declares House of Reps bid was announced in a short Yoruba video shared across his social media platforms on Monday, where he appealed to leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for support.

Ajakaye, who has served as Chief Press Secretary to Governor AbdulRazaq since 2019, said his decision followed wide consultations with party stakeholders, elders, and opinion leaders within and outside the constituency.

In his announcement, he described his aspiration as a commitment to strengthening representation and improving governance at the federal level.

He emphasised that effective collaboration between lawmakers and state authorities is essential for delivering development to constituents.

According to him, his goal is to serve as a partner in public service delivery and ensure that available resources are aligned with community needs.

Ajakaye also pledged accountable and responsible representation if elected, while urging APC leaders to support his ambition ahead of the party primaries.
