In a statement issued in Abuja, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Muhammed Ishaq, rejected claims linked to a group identifying itself as the “PRP-Vanguard Collective”, describing the group as unknown to the party leadership.
“These so-called individuals are nobodies of consequence and are not known by the PRP leadership or its members,” Ishaq said.
He questioned the timing of the allegations, suggesting they were designed to create confusion at a moment when the party is experiencing growing visibility in the national political space.
Ishaq alleged that the reports were part of a broader effort to distract and weaken the party’s progress, but maintained that the PRP remained firm in its direction.
“It is clear that these distractions are attempts by certain interests to undermine our progress, but we remain undeterred,” he said.
The party spokesperson stressed that the PRP would not be intimidated by what he described as propaganda or media distortions, adding that it is prepared to withstand both genuine and manufactured political pressure.
“We want to make it known that we cannot and will not be shaken by intimidation,” he said.
With political activities gradually intensifying ahead of the 2027 elections, the party said it would resist any attempt to destabilise its structure or weaken its influence.
Ishaq described the criticisms as expected in a competitive political environment, insisting that the party’s growth naturally attracts opposition and misinformation.
He added that the PRP’s long-standing history and survival through past political challenges demonstrate its resilience and ideological commitment.

“The future belongs to those who stand firm in truth and principle,” he said, reaffirming the party’s commitment to its members and political ideals.
