Faleke Tinubu APC nomination forms secured as James Faleke obtains nomination documents for President Bola Tinubu ahead of 2027 election
Member of the House of Representatives for Ikeja Federal Constituency, James Abiodun Faleke, has obtained the All Progressives Congress (APC) Expression of Interest and Nomination forms on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

The forms were formally presented on Tuesday in Abuja by the APC National Organising Secretary, Suleiman Argungu, marking the official commencement of the party’s nomination process for the 2027 general elections.
James Faleke, who also serves as founder of the Tinubu Support Groups, received the nomination documents on behalf of President Tinubu, signalling the President’s expected participation in the upcoming electoral cycle.
The development, involving forms valued at N100 million, is widely interpreted as a clear indication of President Tinubu’s intention to seek a second term in office, although no formal declaration has yet been issued from the Presidency.
Meanwhile, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released the timetable for the 2027 general elections. Presidential and National Assembly elections are scheduled for Saturday, January 16, 2027, while governorship and State Houses of Assembly polls will hold on Saturday, February 6, 2027.
INEC also confirmed that party primaries, including resolution of internal disputes, will take place between April 23 and May 30, 2026.
According to the electoral body, campaigns for presidential and National Assembly elections will officially begin on August 19, 2026, while campaigns for governorship and state assembly elections are set to commence on September 9, 2026.
